Subject matter and scope of services:
One of the biggest project in Dabster history is a turn-key project for aluminum sulphate production plant in Cairo with capacity of 150.000 t/y of liquid product and 25.000 t/r of product in solid form of flakes. Production process is based on the kaolin as raw material and sulphuric acid. Within this project Dabster was responsible for process technology and know-how, basic and detail multi branch design for production section. Scope of design included as well accompanying installation and auxiliary units for future planned expansion of a chemical complex comprising a factory for the production of sulfuric acid, superphosphate and potassium sulphate.
Accompanying installations included battery of storage tanks for sulphuric acid, battery of tanks for liquid aluminum sulphate with tanker cars loading system and storage for waste materials. Auxiliary units were considered for whole complex, including power supply with sub-station and emergency generator, central control room, boiler room, cooling station, compressed air station and laboratory.
Moreover Dabster delivered all key process equipment like enameled reactors, evaporators, condensers, pumps, filters, fans, bucket conveyors, belt conveyors for filtration cake, piping, armature, measuring devices and complete automation with control system and DCS.
For the equipment prefabricated locally in Eqypt, Dabster supplied workshop drawings and conducted supervision of prefabrication.
During erection time Dabster was responsible for supervision, completion of deliveries and after for all preparations, checking, commissioning, start-up and training of personnel.
Aluminium Sulphate Plant (ASP I ) is under operation for over 11 years.
